About Us

My name is Carol (Collins) Dix. I am originally from Clark, SD, where I was born and raised. I graduated from Clark High School in 1978, and graduated from NSU in Aberdeen with a degree in Marketing and Sales. Being from a smaller town, I was taught the importance of farming and small business and their role in the community. I also learned early on, the importance of hard work, while hauling bales, feeding livestock, part time jobs; and, of course, hunting. I was taught by my father to appreciate the beauty of nature firsthand while fishing, trapping and hunting, (and often just watching) pheasants, deer, ducks and geese.

Children: Brittany and Melissa. Brittany lives in Sioux Falls, where she is a Pre-school teacher, after graduating from NDSU in Fargo. Melissa is living in Aberdeen and is a sophomore at NSU. I am very proud of my daughters, and am so pleased that they are doing well.

I am very pleased and honored to be working at the Boyd-Wagner Insurance Agency in Doland. Previously, I was with Wells Fargo for almost 25 years in Groton, Redfield, and Doland. So having my next job opportunity in Doland, with this agency and its great staff, Bonnie Wagner, Mark Rozell, and Deb Schroeder, is truly a blessing. The Agency shares my feelings of living in a small farming/small business community.

I get the opportunity every day to meet and visit with people about their thoughts and dreams for their future. By matching my customers with the proper insurance coverage for life, health, long-term care or disability policy, along with various annuity products, I am able to help them achieve their goals, and the goals for their families. Giving someone the comfort of knowing they are prepared for the future, and for the unforeseen, makes my job very fulfilling.
