Colorado Auto Insurance Quotes

One of the most common questions we get is "Why do I need medical payments coverage?  I have medical insurance to cover me."  This coverage helps in many ways but most often it covers the occupants in your vehicle for their injuries.  The laws have again changed in Colorado so now is a great time to come in and discuss this coverage and to let us review your insurance program. 

 
Colorado minimum coverage amounts:
When you purchase vehicle insurance through us, we want to make sure you understand the coverage you are receiving.  For example:
Do you know what the required Colorado minimum limits of liability insurance are?  The answer is 25/50/15. 
 
To break down this coverage:
 
$25,000 medical per person, in the other vehicle, is the most that will be paid in an accident caused by you.
$50,000 is the total amount of medical coverage for injuries to people in the other vehicle, from an accident caused by you.
$15,000 is the total amount your insurance company will pay for vehicle repair/property replacement resulting from an accident caused by you.
 
What does this mean to you?   If one person’s medical expenses are higher than $25,000, or the total in medical costs are more than $50,000, or the vehicle damage is valued higher than $15,000, the most the insurance company will pay is 25/50/15. Any unpaid balance is your responsibility. 
 
Liability coverage does not provide money to pay for you, others in your vehicle, nor your vehicle
