About Us

I moved to Colorado, because as a child, my family would come out from the Midwest and enjoy the wonderful skiing in the winter and camping in the summer. Colorado was always in my heart, so when it came time for college, no question, I was moving to Colorado. So, in 1978, I packed up my truck and moved to Durango to attend Fort Lewis College. I received my degree in Business Administration with a minor in Agriculture and Accounting.  I fell in love with this small mountain town with great skiing and recreation.

I met my husband, John, who grew up on a cattle ranch near Center, Colorado in the late 1980's.  His family are ranchers in the San Luis Valley near Center, and are native to Colorado since the late 1800's.  His brothers still ranch The Windowsach Ranch and are prominent in the cattle industry, having received cattlemen of the year recognition several times.

My husband and I enjoy raising our two sons, Josh and Blake, in Douglas County, where we have lived since 1993. Our sons keep us busy with their activities of golf, rock climbing, camping, skiing, fly fishing, ATVing, and soccer.

It has always been my mission to provide my customers with quality products and sincere service. It has been my goal to have a business that I could be proud of that helps the community. Being in the heart of historical Castle Rock and representing QBE Farmers Union Insurance, I feel I have reached my goal.
