About Us

Southwest Minnesota is a great place to call home, and that is one of the reasons why Mike Panka decided to become an agent for The Panka Agency -- Farmers Union Agency, Inc. back in 2005. Michael took over for his grandfather Mervin, after 56 years in the insurance business and is looking forward to serving the area for a long time to come.

The Panka Agency -- Farmers Union Agency, Inc. consists of four people: Mike, who has been an agent since 2005, Joyce, who has been with the agency since 1994, Adam, who started in 2008 and Vicky, who started in 2011. All four are licensed agents and have the expertise to find the right kind of insurance to meet your needs.

Mike graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2003 with business degrees in Finance and Management. Joyce also attended what was at that time Southwest State University and earned her degree in Business Management. Adam attended Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD with degrees in Computer Technician, Computer Network Administration, and Computer Repair. Vicky attended Ridgewater College in Willmar and received her diploma in Cosmetology.

Service is a top priority for The Panka Agency -- Farmers Union Agency, Inc., and the whole agency takes that priority very seriously. Whether it is a question about an existing policy, a claim, or a new quote, we're always ready to help.  That dedication to service helped Michael earn Agent of the Year for QBE Farmers Union Agency in Minnesota for 2007.

Our office is located just off of main street in Ivanhoe, 1/2 block west of the Corner Cafe or 1/2 block northeast of the Post Office.
