Community Activities

The Panka Agency -- Farmers Union Agency, Inc. has been active in the Canby and Ivanhoe communities for several years.  It started with Michael's grandfather Mervin, who was an agent with QBE Farmers Union Agency for 56 years before retiring in 2006.  He was active in several areas including his church, supporting the local high school and several other activities. 

Michael, his aunt Joyce, and his brother Adam all grew up in Southwest Minnesota and have all been active as well. 

Michael is currently a member of the Ivanhoe Economic Development Authority, as well as a member of the Ivanhoe Community Club. He also serves on the board of directors for Divine Providence Health Center in Ivanhoe. He is active in his church, St. John Cantius in Wilno and helps every year in the annual 4th of July Celebration. He also helps every year with the annual Polish Days Celebration, assisting with the softball tournament.
