About Us
I was born and raised in the Glen Ullin area. I also own a farm in this area. I’m very proud of our community and am pleased to be a part of it.
I got started in the insurance business in 1986. I was looking for something to do outside of the farm, while still being able to work on the farm. QBE Farmers Union Insurance was looking to hire an agent in the area so I thought the opportunity was perfect for me. I’ve been here as an agent ever since!
I decided to become an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance because I have always enjoyed working with people. I knew this would be a good opportunity for me to be able to meet new people and help them out in a way that was relevant to them.

Our agency is different from others in town for a variety of reasons:
- We have more experience in the industry than any other agents in the area
- We advise people on their insurance needs as well as any personal advice we can provide based on our experience
- We are not affiliated with a bank or other lending firm
I have served on the school board, church board, nursing home board of directors, and have been very active in all of these organizations.
Our agency is made up of me, Art Hellman, and our Customer Service Representative Hollie Emter.
We have worked together since 1986 and we work very well together as a team.
Hollie is married to her husband Dale; they have 3 kids, Kevin, Kayla, Mitchell.
She has a variety of experience in the insurance industry. She is very caring and a conscientious person. She does most of the maintaining and servicing of the accounts. Feel free to call and speak with Hollie anytime.
Our office is located at 210 South Avenue West in Glen Ullin. It’s across the street from the Bank of Glen Ullin, and adjacent to Marshall Lumber Company. Stop by our office anytime, we’d love to see you!
