About Us

Cary Sundlof has pursued a lifelong career in insurance.  After growing up in a family of insurance agents, he accepted a position as a Marketing Representative for the Hartford Insurance Group in Minneapolis.  Cary met his wife, Jean, at an insurance seminar in Hartford, Connecticut.  When they were married, they moved to Oklahoma, where Cary was employed by Lloyds General Agency in marketing and later promoted to management.  After several years, they agreed that Minnesota was God's country, and moved back to the Twin Cities.

Cary joined Blackburn, Nickels and Smith and developed an innovative program for insurance agents. He has also worked for Metropolitan Property and Casualty and NAU Insurance where he developed an auto insurance program in the state of Wisconsin.  In 2003 Cary established Cary Sundlof Agency/Farmer's Union Insurance, where he has been assisting clients in managing their insurance programs ever since.

Cary has two daughters, Alex and Madi.  Alex is active in the choral and band music programs at Apple Valley High School and was recently honored as a National Merit Finalist. Madi also attends Apple Valley High School and stays busy participating in their swimming, band, and speech programs.  The Sundlof household also includes two dogs, Woof and Waffles.

Cary holds the CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), and AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designations.  He is an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church.  In his spare time, Cary loves to cook, to the delight of his entire family.
