• "What is my deductible?" Your deductible is the amount out of pocket that you will have to pay first for your claim. This is an amount pre-chosen by you, the insured, and is usually an amount such as $500 or $1000.
   
• "Who will my check be made out to?" Your claims check will be made out to the Primary Named Insured and any Leinholders/Mortgagees when applicable. Checks will need to be endorsed by your Leinholder/Mortgagee and then can be endorsed and cashed by you. In some cases, payments can be made out to the contractor/shop you are working with.
   
• "What is a Covered Loss?" The best place to check what is and isn't covered is in your actual policy since this varies by company. Note that wear and tear is never covered by insurance.
