Community Activities

I have been involved in many activities and organizations throughout the years.

• In 1981 my wife and I started the Mahnomen County Historical Society
• 19 years on the local township board
• Member of the St. Michael's church finance council
• Active in Quarterback Club
• Mahnomens Elementary Basketball teams
• Member of Minnesota's QBE Farmers Union

Minnesota Insurance Agent

My wife has been active in many organizations including the Mahnomen County Historical Society. She was the past president of Education Minnesota (formerly MEA), PCN, Women of Today, reader and Eucharistic minister at St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Our four children have been active in sports and organizations throughout their school years.

My first son David II was a member of the football, basketball and tennis teams. He also played softball in the summer. When David II was a student he was active in Student Council (State Representative 1999-2000) FFA, FCA, FLA, Band, Choir, Jazz Band and Pep Band. He was elected Homecoming King for Mahnomen High School as a senior. He was also active in the church as a server, Reader and played drums for LifeTeam.

Joseph was a member of the football, (All Conference) basketball, (All Conference) and tennis teams at Mahnomen High School. He played softball in the summer. Joey was active in Student Council, FFA, FCA, FLA and band. He served at our local Catholic Church on Sundays.

Michael was a member of the football (3 year starter), track and tennis teams. He also played softball in the summer. Mike was active band, where he played the baritone, FFA, FCA, FLA and the Knowledge Bowl team. Mikey was a server at St. Michael's in Mahnomen and participated in LifeTeam.

Kathleen was a member of the Volleyball, Basketball and Track teams. She was active in Student Council, Band, FLA, FCA, FFA and National Honor Society. Katie was elected Homecoming Queen her senior year at Mahnomen High School. Katie was active in many church activities and LifeTeam.
