About Us

I am a true Colorado native having been born and raised in Ft. Collins. I have lived in Loveland since 1972. My family ran a trucking business in the Northern Colorado area for over 50 years!  We have been an active part of the community for many years!

I began my Insurance career in 2003. I was in sales for a stained glass wholesaler in Boulder when I needed to find a career that allowed me to be closer to home during my wife's illness. Insurance allowed me to start my own business and still be close enough and flexible enough to care for my family.

I am now widowed and have two grown children and four grandchildren. They all live and work in the Loveland area.  My son is still living in Loveland with his two children.  My daughter is also local and in fact  has recently become an active part of the Joel S. Miller Agency!

I spend my personal time fly fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends. I walk every day, and although that is tough in the Colorado winters, I find places like the mall to stay warm and dry!  This winter I even started snow shoeing!

It has always been my mission to provide my customers with quality products and sincere service. I began my career as a QBE Farmers Union Agent in 2005!

I have one assistant in the business, my daughter Joelle Kingdom. I would tell you how long I've known her, but she would not be happy with me! Joelle has lived in Loveland since 1977. She attended school here and obtained a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995. She is raising two boys( my grandsons) , Nick is 8 years old, and Zak is 12 years old. Joelle has joined the family business as a career change. She is planning on re-licensing in Insurance and assisting me in the years to come.  When not at the office, Joelle runs a puppy rescue!

The Joel S. Miller Agency is located at 150 East 29th Street Suite 156, in the Palmer Gardens Shopping Center , on the South West corner of Hwy 287 and 29th Street on the North side of Loveland. We are in the main office building entrance next to the Wing Shack.
