Community Activities
Living in a small community has been perfect for our family. My husband was raised on a farm in the Wiggins area and I was raised in the farming community just west of Wiggins. The thing I love most about small town living is when there is a person in need, whether from illness or other disaster, people put down their differences and help in any way possible.
I love the fact that we know most everyone in town!
We have had 4 children go through the school system and have been very ready for college.
- Jennifer, granddaughter Brynn, they live in Wiggins.
- Keith married to Peggie they also live in Wiggins.
- Troy – School of Mines, lives in Arvada
- Jamie – only girl, going to school at Mesa State in Grand Junction
With four children I have been active in the school and community. The Wiggins Booster Club is one of my passions. We support all students at school. From Homecoming tailgate get togethers to feeding students before a spring or fall play, the Booster Club is there.
Wiggins CO Community Involvement
My husband Glenn and I are supporters of the Wiggins FFA. Each year we donate to the FFA organization. Students give 8 hours of their time to supporters. The members use the money to travel to the National FFA Conference.
I am an active member of Summit Baptist Church. I was the youth leader and high school Sunday School teacher for 10 years. Last year I "retired" from the youth group and am looking for my new niche. With the kids out of the house, life has changed some, but I am sure God will show me where I belong.
I am a proud member of Rain and Hail Society and support Crop Insurance. The Crop Insurance program supports farmers and provides an economic safety net to assure a bountiful food supply.
