About Us

My name is Jimmy W. Hill. I have been an insurance agent for 19 years; 15 years have been with the Ray QBE Farmers Union Insurance Agency.

I started in the insurance business in 1990 to supplement my farming business. The 1200 acre farm  was not producing enough income for a family with three children. When I started my second job as an insurance agent for QBE Farmers Union, I became a weekend and after work farmer.

Our agency is different from other insurance agencies, as we all grew up here and are all involved in community activities. Besides myself, there are two other licensed agents working here. Laurie Kupper has worked for QBE Farmers Union Insurance since 1990 and Jerry Ranum since 2005, since retiring from NCC. My wife Tammie has worked processing policies on the computer since November of 2003.

Our office always has a hot cup of coffee ready for visitors. Our office is located off the west entrance to the mall in Ray and is easily accessible. Feel free to stop in at anytime for that personal service or to just "chew the fat". Ray is a wonderful town where neighbors are neighbors and strangers are always welcome. Stop in anytime to see us!
