About Us

I was born and raised on a farm/ranch near Wishek, ND and graduated from Wishek Public School.  I then went on to North Dakota State University and got my BA degree in Agricultural Education with a minor in Animal and Range Sciences.  My husband Carl is from Kulm, ND and also graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics.  After graduating from college, Carl took a job at Hometown Credit Union in Ashley.  Shortly after that, the opportunity became available for me to take over the QBE Farmers Union Insurance office here in Ashley and I decided it would be a great fit for me with my agricultural background and I was familiar with the local area.  After being an Ag Loan Officer at the local credit union for several years, my husband Carl decided to start ranching full time and takes care of our two children, Marshall, 5, and Cheyanne, 4, several days a week.  Ashley is a great fit for our family and we love being only a short distance from each of our hometowns.

In my agency I am the only licensed insurance agent, and my CSR Nancy Betsch works with me part-time.  Nancy is also originally from Wishek and farms and ranches with her husband Perry southeast of Ashley.  Our agency is prominently located on main street of Ashley in the heart of the business district between Thrifty White Drug and Dakota Family Restaurant.  I have been an agent in Ashley since 2002 and look forward to serving the community for many  years.
