About Us

Born and raised in central SD on a farm/ranch, my life grew in that direction. I completed my college education and taught school for 15 years in South Dakota & Wyoming. At the same time my husband, Lonnie, and I ranched and raised our four children in a rural setting.

QBE Farmers Union Insurance has provided valuable protection to South Dakota's ranchers, farmers, homeowners and business owners since 1945. Having a rural background, this impressed me. In 1989, I gave up my teaching and coaching and started my career with QBE Farmers Union Insurance. My rural background and well as teaching and working with people with all backgrounds has been a great asset for me in the insurance world.

QBE Farmers Union Insurance also believes in "good, old-fashioned" service and we are proud of our strong affiliation with local communities.

South Dakota QBE Farmers Union Insurance is a proud "Community Partner" of the South Dakota High School Activities Association which I help sponsor. We give scholarships to graduating seniors through the South Dakota QBE Farmers Union Foundation. By supporting our youth in education we are helping to insure our future.

As a District IV agent in western South Dakota, I also contribute to a $1000 scholarship given to a graduating senior who participates in South Dakota high School Rodeo.

I am a lifetime member of South Dakota QBE Farmers Union, a member of the South Dakota Stockgrowers and member of the R-CALF organization.

My personal time is spent helping on the ranch on weekends, gardening and spending time with family. We have four granddaughters who live with their parents in Durango, CO and two grandsons living in Galway, Ireland with their parents.

Through QBE Farmers Union Insurance, I am able to stay in touch with rural and urban America, our youth and their education, and provide them with quality products and service. My office is located at 109 Main Ste. B, Spearfish, SD.
