About Us

I was born and raised on a family farm near Clark, SD.  I attended Clark High School where I participated in sports, vocal music, and school plays.  After graduating from Clark High School in 1968, I attended Northern State University on a football scholarship.  I met my wife, Sandy, at Northern State University, and after graduating began teaching and coaching football, basketball, and track.

In 1981, I began my insurance career, joined QBE Farmers Union Insurance in 1989.  I have been recognized for client service and sales with membership in the QBE Farmers Union Mile High Summit, a national sales honor award, numerous times as well as receiving several state and district awards.

In my spare time I enjoy all types of high school and college sports and activities.  As a South Dakota QBE Farmers Union Insurance agent, I am proud to be a community partner of the South Dakota High School Activities Association.

Our agency team is made up of myself and Valerie Goetz.  Val is licensed in personal lines.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading and is active in the Brookings Optimist Club.
