Wyoming Car Insurance Requirements
State of Wyoming Minimum Limits of Coverage are as follows:
Bodily Injury/Property Damage $25,000/$50,000/$20,000
What do these numbers mean and why are they not nearly enough to cover you properly?
If you cause an accident and injure the people in the other car or cars, your policy will pay up to $25,000 per person for Bodily Injury or up to $50,000 for Bodily Injury for all the people you injure for their: Pain and Suffering, Doctors bills, Hospital Bills, Ambulance Bills, etc.
If you think about this for a minute, you will see that if you put someone in the hospital for 2 weeks ---- $25,000 will be used up very quickly. After your $25,000 is used up, the Injured Parties can sue you personally for the rest of their damages.
The third number, $20,000 is for Property Damages. This to pay for the other person’s car, fence or house. In other words, whatever you run into.
Again, if you think about this for a minute, I think you will see that $20,000 would not cover most cars or trucks on the road. Remember that there are now $50,000 Buick's out there on the street! We won’t even think about a new Hummer or Cadillac SUV.
While QBE Farmers Union Insurance is our preferred company, and usually has the best rates, we do offer coverage through several other companies. These Include Bristol West Auto Insurance and Progressive Auto Insurance (Including Personal and Commercial Risks).
