About Us

My wife and I are Western Kansas natives and really enjoy life on the prairie! I grew up on a cattle and grain farm about 25 miles northeast of Hoxie Kansas, and thought my home town of Jennings, Kansas was an exciting place with it's 100 inhabitants!

This formative period defined for me an interest in production agriculture and small businesses that provides the basis of our business to this day. My parents raised registered cattle and stressed to us the need to learn, study and be persistent in life. I am very grateful for that opportunity. I attended four years at Kansas State University and graduated with a degree in Business Marketing.

My wife, Linda, was raised in Collyer, Kansas in western Trego county; went to high school in Wakeeney and graduated from Dodge City Community College. We met at church in Hoxie, Kansas on a very cold Sunday night in January of 1985. I asked her to help me write a resume, and afterwards we went for pizza. We both realized that evening that not only was there potential for a lasting marital relationship, but we also worked well together.

We were married in May of 1986 and spent four years in the Denver, Colorado area where we gained invaluable professional experience.

The opportunity to move to Hays, Kansas and work with QBE Farmers Union came in 1989. We were settled back in our home state in June, 1989 and have never looked back.

Our specialty has become production agriculture, both for farmers and associated agriculture businesses. However, we do a lot of work with home, auto, and most other lines  of insurance as well. Our business is spread out over a large portion of western and central Kansas. We also provide service to other parts of Kansas and even into Nebraska.

My wife and I work together in our agency. We have one assistant who happens to be one of the most talented 20 year-old college students we have ever met!

Our primary passion has always been our Christian faith. We are actively involved in a local church, Liberty Christian Fellowship. Our church is a great place for personal growth and preparing people to see a bigger vision of their life and to actively fulfill that vision. Randy is also part of a worship team as a guitarist and bassist at the church.

Linda actively runs a weight loss and maintenance group in Hays called Diet, Discipleship and Discipline. She has a great heart for caring for people.

Randy's biggest pursuit, beyond family and work, is playing guitar. He has done this for 40 years and is now 48. He actively plays for church and community events. He also writes music and is in the middle of a 20-year project to record and produce 100 songs.

Randy also works in some men's church groups and wants to complete a set of bible devotionals for men by the time he is 65.

Fifteen years into our marriage, the Lord blessed us with a son and then four years later with our daughter. Lucas is 7 and Elena is 3 with birthdays two days apart (March 2 and 4).

Our agency is focused in helping the people of northwest and central Kansas with their risk management needs. We provide advice and solutions to both simple and often quite complex problems. Regular reviews and appointments at your convenience of time and location is our trademark.

We have witnessed millions paid in claims in the last 20 years. We have the benefit of years of experience and also maintain an aggressive attitude towards continuing education. The insurance business has become very complicated requiring an attention to detail and need of knowledge that increases every day.
