Community Activities
QBE Farmers Union Insurance has been an active member of the Syracuse community since at least 1979. The office is located on the southeast corner of the ONE stoplight in town, which is the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 27. The location gives the girls a great view of Syracuse’s Main Street and the majority of the daily traffic coming through town.
The historic Northrup Theatre marquee is visible to the north; advertising the weekly movie that will be shown at 7:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The theatre is owned by the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce. www.syracusekschamber.com
The large number of milk transport and cattle trucks, are also a constant reminder of the importance the dairy and cattle industry hold for the community. The Syracuse Commission Company, Inc. holds the cattle auction each Friday, 11:00 MT www.syracusecommission.com
The Syracuse Sand Dunes Park, a mile south of town, has increased traffic through the "heart of Syracuse" with an interesting variety of vehicles: dune buggies, sand rails, ATV’s, and motorcycles, all used in this sport.www.syracusesanddunes.com
