About Us
I am a third generation agent working out of Wiggins, CO. My grandfather started the agency in the 1950's. My father took over the business in 1968, working part-time along with his farming operation. He then went full-time in 1978. I joined him as a partner after graduating from college in 1988. I am fortunate to now have 20+ years in the insurance industry.
I was born in Greeley, CO on Independence Day-July 4th of 1962. I was raised in Wiggins, CO graduated from high school there, and then received my Associates degree from Northeastern Junior College. I continued my education at Colorado State University and earned my Bachelors degree in business, graduating with honors in 1985.
In 1991 I met my awesome wife Jennifer and we married a year later. We are now raising two great kids: Brandon (born 9/20/93) and Brienna (7/16/97).
I like to spend my personal time with family and friends, and enjoy golf, basketball, skiing, fine dining and travel. I am also a big sports fan. I enjoy the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche and have rooted for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Buffaloes since I was 8 years old. I also enjoy coaching youth sports; having coached basketball, football and baseball for many years. The local youth basketball team I coach played over 70 games last year. I was proud to be named "volunteer of the year" in our town in 2008.
Our expertise combined with compassion creates peace of mind at the unfortunate time of loss. I am available 365-24-7 and, unlike some agents, I work 40+ hours a week in my office or with clients. When the unexpected occurs, being able to contact your agent - rather than a voice recording - is very important to me.
Our agency team, in addition to myself, is made up of 1 part-time and 5 full-time employees. We take great pride in having 60+ years of combined experience. We like to think of ourselves as insurance consultants rather than typical salesmen. Our clients appreciate our product knowledge and the fact that we are a one-stop shop. We have over 30 companies to choose from for any type of insurance one may need.
